Sportradar set for FIFA World Cup kick-off
The FIFA World Cup – the greatest show on earth – begins today and Sportradar, as the source code of sport, is close to the action across various areas around the competition.
With sports media and betting businesses eager to make the most of the buzz around the FIFA World Cup, a host of companies and organisations will use Sportradar’s product offering over the coming month, including widgets, social media cards and the stat-packed World Cup centre.
Widgets include fixtures, live tables, tournament squads and player standings plus new additions such as tournament and team highlight options.
Our social cards already prove popular with clients, allowing them to publish pre, live and post-match updates from matches directly to their social platforms while the World Cup centre offers a fully responsive and customisable solution complete with team pages, tournament statistics and deep match data.
Sportradar’s products and services will be used by many to power FIFA World Cup coverage for clients across the fields of sports media and betting.
Squawka, 90min and Fox Sports Asia are among the companies who will use Sportradar’s World Cup centre and array of widgets and cards to drive traffic and engagement while betting firms such as SBOBET, NairaBet and Admiral are just three firms on board for the biggest sports event on the planet.
Valeriia in Russia
As well as supplying data and products, Sportradar will be represented on the ground in Russia by trainee scheme participant Valeriia Dankovtceva.
Valeriia, one of two members of staff currently participating in the Sportradar trainee scheme, is to spend time in all company offices over the course of her traineeship and will also gain incredible insight and experience by representing Sportradar at the FIFA World Cup.
While in her home nation of Russia, she will meet with football fans from a host of countries and help spread the word about Sportradar’s work to an even wider audience.
Sportradar Data Animation Videos
During the FIFA World Cup, we’ll also be showcasing one of our latest innovations – Sportradar’s Data Animation Videos.
Sportradar and streetfootballworld
As part of Sportradar’s partnership with streetfootballworld, our employees will have the chance to pit their football knowledge against one another all in the name of charity.
All Sportradar employees have the chance to compete in an inter-office FIFA World Cup prediction competition to determine the most football-savvy offices and showcase football’s unique power to change the world for good.
Whether at the FIFA World Cup, or on the streets of a rural town, football brings people together and drives a sense of community and companionship.
In order to support streetfootballworld’s football4good initiative, Sportradar will donate €2 for every employee who participates in the prediction competition, helping young people in various communities who do not have access to safe places to play, or equal opportunities.
Almost 800 Sportradar staff will take part and all proceeds will go to our social responsibility partners, streetfootballworld, who use football as a tool to drive social change in development areas such as employability, education, and gender equality.
During the tournament, we’ll be providing editorial reviews and previews using Sportradar data as well as live updates via our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels so why not follow us and join the football party?
