In a deal that ensures fans of German handball get the most engaging content straight to their mobile phones, the DKB Handball Bundesliga (HBL) has partnered with Sportradar to ensure that their mobile app is ready, informative and available across both iOS and Android platforms.

Built to provide a seamless experience across all key digital platforms, the new app will provide news and statistics for the top flight HBL, as well as the 2nd Handball Bundesliga, the DHB Cup plus German Cup final REWE Final Four (May 5th/6th, 2018, Barclaycard Arena Hamburg), the Pixum Super Cup (August 23th, 2017, Porsche Arena Stuttgart) as well as the annual All Star Game (German national team against league world selection, February 2nd, 2018, Arena Leipzig). Indeed, fans of the best handball in Germany will enjoy easy access to live tracking of match events, commentary, statistics as well as push notification related to their selected matches or teams.

Founded in 1966, the DKB Handball-Bundesliga is organised by the German Handball Association (DHB) and headquartered in Cologne.

Consisting of 18 teams competing with each other twice on 34 matchdays, the DKB HBL has a reputation for being the top handball league worldwide. Top teams are, among others, reigning champion Rhein-Neckar Löwen, 2015 winner THW Kiel, and SG Flensburg-Handewitt, EHF Champions League winner 2014.

Each season, about 1.5 million spectators watch the encounters of the first league. Matches of the DKB Handball-Bundesliga are currently being broadcast in over 40 countries worldwide.
