Carsten Koerl is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sportradar AG.
Carsten has strategically led all aspects of Sportradar’s business since founding the group in 2001, driving the growth of the company from a tech-focused start-up to a global leader in delivering essential sports data and audiovisual content across a range of platforms and media.
Prior to founding Sportradar, Carsten held a number of management positions within the software development and gaming industry. He was the founder of bwin and led the company through one of the most successful public listings ever undertaken on the Vienna stock market.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Electronic and Microprocessor Engineering from the University for Applied Sciences in Konstanz (Germany).

Founder and CEO
Ulrich Harmuth is Managing Director Digital Sports for Sportradar AG.
Joining Sportradar as Managing Director Corporate Development in March 2013, Ulrich headed up the company’s Corporate Strategy and M&A teams. He also oversaw Sportradar’s development in the US through the acquisition and integration of SportsData LLC (Minneapolis).
Today, Ulrich is responsible for all aspects of the operational and commercial performance of Sportradar’s Digital Sports division, where he works directly with broadcasters, digital platforms, social platforms, and sponsors among other business sectors that are starting to understand the impact that sports data can have on their objectives.
Prior to joining Sportradar, Ulrich spent four years as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. Then, in 2007, he became Associate Director at 3i Group Plc before moving on to EQT in Frankfurt as an Investment Manager.
He studied Civil Engineering in Karlsruhe, Wuppertal and Pretoria and holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Managing Director Digital Sports
Alexander Fryba is Managing Director Betting for Sportradar AG.
Joining Sportradar in 2006 as Managing Director Product Development, Xandi was responsible for the end-to-end development of major innovations in the Sportradar product portfolio including our Live Odds services.
Today, Xandi brings his product development and management skills to Sportradar’s Betting Division, where he is responsible for all aspects of its operational and commercial performance – helping to ensure that Sportradar remains at the cutting edge of innovative solutions for our betting and gaming clients.
Prior to joining Sportradar, Xandi worked with CBC for 14 years, rising from the shop floor to become their CEO. During this time he was also a Member of the Board for the Austrian Bookmaker Federation.
He holds Degrees in Law and Data Systems Technology from the Johannes Kepler University.
Xandi is based in Linz, Austria.
Managing Director Betting
Andreas Krannich is Managing Director Sport Rights Holders for Sportradar AG.
Joining Sportradar in April 2008 as Managing Director Strategy and Integrity, Andreas led the development of our Security Services into its current position as the global leader in the detection, prevention and investigation of betting-related manipulation across a range of sports worldwide.
Today, Andreas is responsible for the operational and commercial performance of the Sport Rights Holders division. As well as including the Security Services department, this division includesSportradar’s Licensing team, which handles all aspects of audio-visual and data rights, as well as the new Federation Management Platform solution.
Prior to joining Sportradar, Andreas worked for Germany’s Deutscher Fußball-Bund and Deutscher Bundesliga across marketing and media licensing. He was also entrusted with setting-up and coordinating the Integrity program within German football following the 2005 Hoyzer Scandal.
He is an Economics Graduate from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität, Bonn.
Andreas splits his time between Munich, Germany and London, England.
Managing Director Sport Rights Holders
Stefan Leibhard is Managing Director Product for Sportradar AG.
Stefan founded the BTD Group GmbH in 2007, and joined Sportradar when BTD was acquired by Sportradar in 2015. Today, Stefan is responsible for product development across the group – with a strong focus on our digital sports solutions.
Prior to joining Sportradar, Stefan spent two decades as a successful entrepreneur. His BTD Group provided technology-driven services to the likes of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich as well as a range of commercial sponsors, telcos, broadcasters, and more. He handled the digital integration of the Allianz Arena Munich, where he was also actively involved with their preparations for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He studied economics in Munich.
Stefan is based in Munich, Germany.
Managing Director Product
David Lampitt is Managing Director Group Operations for Sportradar AG.
Initially joining the Board of Sportradar AG in August 2012 in a non-executive capacity, David brought over a decade of in-depth experience of working in the sports industry at senior levels.
In 2013, he took on an executive role as Sportradar’s Managing Director Group Operations, where he has responsibility for shaping Sportradar’s organisational structures. His remit also includes a number of group functions such as legal, compliance, marketing, communications, as well as strategically significant group projects such as e-sports.
Prior to joining Sportradar, David worked at the English Football Association, he was a member of UEFA’s Club Licensing Committee and spent two years as CEO of Portsmouth Football Club.David also worked as CEO of Supporters Direct, a not-for-profit organisation promoting good governance in sport.
He holds a degree in Modern Languages from Bristol University and is an ACA Chartered Accountant.
David is based in London, United Kingdom.
Managing Director Group Operations
Dr. Erik Massmann is Chief Financial Officer for Sportradar AG.
Erik took up the role of Chief Financial Officer in February 2014, and is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership across the Sportradar Group, as well as leading our human resources function.
Prior to joining Sportradar, Erik served as a Member of the Management Board and the Director of Finance, HR, Administration and Investor Relations at Personal & Informatik AG (P&I). He has previously held CFO positions at IBS AG, and CompuGROUP Holding AG, where he was also CEO for Vita-X AG (a subsidiary of CompuGROUP Medical AG).
He holds a Doctorate in Economic and Political Sciences from the Freie Universität Berlin.
Erik is based in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
